Do I need a Will if I already have one in my home country?
A Will from your home country is a starting point, but it does not extend to assets held in the UAE. A locally registered Will is what gives your wishes legal weight here, ensuring the people you love are protected on every front.
What happens if I pass away in the UAE without a registered Will?
Without a registered Will, UAE laws will determine how your assets are distributed. This may not reflect your personal wishes or the needs of your family. Having a Will in place ensures your intentions are honoured.
Can I include assets from outside the UAE in my Will?
Your UAE Will covers assets held within the UAE. For assets held in other countries, we recommend having a separate Will registered in the relevant jurisdiction. We can advise you on this during your consultation.
Can I update my Will after it has been registered?
Absolutely. Life changes, and your Will should reflect that. We make the process of updating your Will as simple and straightforward as the first time.
How long does the process take?
From engaging Simplify's services, drafting your Will takes between 3 to 7 working days, subject to document availability. Registration with the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department is scheduled based on their available appointments, and we handle all of that coordination on your behalf.
